Senior RF Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with systems engineering to define RF hardware requirements
  • Conduct trade studies
  • Design RF circuits for transmitters, receivers, and exciters including: Low Noise Amplifiers, Phase Locked Loops, mixers, filters, splitters, combiners, and couplers
  • Model and simulate RF circuit performance, including RF dynamic range analysis
  • Coordinate RF hardware fabrication, including: component selection, schematic drawings, and printed wiring board layout and population
  • Integrate RF hardware
  • Verify RF hardware performance using standard test equipment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Significant prior experience in all aspects of the RF design phase including: defining hardware requirements, preliminary design/analysis, final design/analysis, verification, and transition to production
  • Expertise in RF circuit analysis
  • Experience in verifying RF hardware performance using standard test equipment
  • Understanding of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and mitigation
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or mathematics
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in integration and test
  • Use of version control and configuration management
  • Existing Department of Defense (DoD) secret clearance

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Senior RF Engineer
  • Extensive prior experience in all phases of the RF design phase including: defining hardware requirements, preliminary design, final design, verification, and transition to production
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in engineering, science, or mathematics
  • Strong communication, technical writing, oral presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with customers and lead technical teams and solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
