Principal Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform modeling of sensors, threats, and environment
  • Design/evaluation of sensor system algorithms for digital signal processing, detection, tracking, and classification
  • Simulate sensor system performance in the presences of threats and environmental interference
  • Analyze sensor system performance using field and simulation data
  • Generate simulated data for sensor system performance evaluation
  • Define sensor system requirements and system architecture
  • Conduct trade studies on system design options for proposals and contract work

Basic Qualifications:

  • Significant prior experience in Radar Systems Analysis and/or Electronic Warfare Systems Analysis
  • Experience using MATLAB for system analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or mathematics
  • Existing Department of Defense (DoD) secret clearance

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Principal Systems Engineer
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in engineering, science, or mathematics
  • Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) or Weather Radar
  • Some sonar systems and analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Electronic Warfare/Electronic Attack/Electronic Protection Techniques
  • Strong communication, technical writing, oral presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to interface with customers and lead technical teams and solutions
  • Proposal writing experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes
  • Experience in integration and test
  • Use of version control tools
